The best place to start knitting!
As the days get a little longer (remember the clocks go forward on 30 March!) we’re turning our thoughts to fresh spring knits in bright zesty shades. And with the new issue of Knit Today you’ll be seriously spoilt for choice. Our cover star looks radiant in a striking lace-edged scarf by Ruth Maddock – perfect for adding a bright pop of colour on a breezy seaside or country walk.
You’ll also find gorgeous knits for easy-wear casual elegance – Marie Wallin for Rowan comes up trumps with a beautiful silk and linen blend ladder stitch jumper in sky blue, while Sian Brown’s sunshine yellow sweater can’t fail to make you feel great whenever you slip it on.
If you’ve always thought knitting your own socks was too tricky, follow our editor Rosee’s step-by-step guide for sock-making success. Then try the technique out on Rhian Drinkwater’s delightful pair of tootsie-toasters using self-striping yarn!
As well as all this, say hello to our adorable new friend Mrs Badger. Designed by Angela Turner, and wearing a cute floral frock and bonnet, we’re sure she’ll be an instant hit with children and adults alike.
Enjoy the issue!
