The Big Knit

If you’re in or around Manchester this weekend, then pop down to Nexus Art Café on Sunday and join in the fun at The Big Knit. This exciting event is all about knitting scarves, hats and gloves to help keep the The Big Issue vendors warm while they’re working on the streets this winter. It’s been so cold lately, I’m sure they will appreciate anything you can contribute. It doesn’t matter if you can’t knit very well – there’ll be plenty of knitters on hand to help out and teach you the basics. So it’s the perfect opportunity to have a cuppa, meet other knitters and do something really worthwhile at the same time.

The Big Knit takes place on Sunday 24 January from 2-8pm at the Nexus Art Café, Dale Street, Manchester.
