Knit Today team blog

Here at Knit Today we love the fact that you knitters are so generous and always ready to help out a good cause. The members of iKnit London demonstrated this last weekend by holding a teaparty to raise funds for disaster relief in Haiti. Attendees ate homemade cake, played pass the parcel, took part in a raffle and, of course, knitted - collecting a grand total of £650. The money was donated through http://www.p-hop.co.uk/ , a fantastic charity knitting project which you can also donate to Haiti through by clicking on the link. You can see photos of the event at http://www.flickr.com/photos/iknitlondon/sets/72157623281726068/ and to find out more about iKnit London visit http://www.iknit.org.uk/. Have you been involved in any fundraising events for Haiti, or used your knitting skills to help out another charity? Do let us know, we’d love to hear about it! Claire B
