Purelife Autumn is right on trend
I’m sure avid Rowan fans have noticed that the new pattern books have hit the shops, and are already planning their autumn projects. I particularly love the new Purelife autumn brochure – it has a gorgeous selection of scarves, shawls, jackets and jumpers. If you’re a beginner, check out the Azara scarf - a simple chunky scarf that’s perfect for those chilly days.
Corsham ladies help Poppy Appeal
As a knitter, you’re always thinking a month or two ahead to when projects are completed (well possibly more if you’re like me and not the fastest knitter!) But these ladies from Corsham are really organised, and have already knitted 2,000 poppies to sell in October for Remembrance Day to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
Step back in time with a Vintage weekend.
Festival season is here again, and this year there’s something for us knitters and those who love a bit of vintage style!
New season knits
It was the longest day on Monday, which means from now on the days get shorter. I hope the sun will continue for a few more weeks yet, but I always feel a little sad when it’s in retreat as that means the autumn won’t be far away! For us knitters, though, this does mean a whole host of new yarns and patterns are on the horizon.
