Need help with toddler's jumper issue 46

Postby jowy1511 » Sat Jul 17, 2010 10:49 pm

Hi,

I'm knitting the toddler's jumper in issue 46. I'm quite new at knitting and find the pattern not always easy to follow. For instance, how do I work in k2, p2 rib with an odd number of stitches i.e 35. I have tried to knit the last stich in row 1, then purl it at the beginning of row 2 (followed by p2) but it isn't working.

The second part of the instructions says: "increase 1st at each end of the fifth and every following 14th row until you have 39sts". Does it mean increasing by 1 stich at the beginning and end i.e by 2 sts for row 5, 14, 28, 42 etc...

Apologies if my questions sound dumb but I've only been knitting for the last 3 months or so I need some translation!

Please help!

Thanks a lot

PS: I have posted my questions in the help section too - so apologies for the duplicate

Yes, when it says increase 1 at beginning and end of every 5th row, this means you are adding 2 stitches each time on those rows.

Hope it's working now.
