Knitting with saree yarn

I have bought some recycle saree yarn ,I'm making flowers , finding it hard to sew with it afterwards. What would you knit with this yarn & anytips with the sewing up afterwards thankyou :D

I've knit some scarves with this and a couple of "bange bowls" from a pattern in Craftseller magazine. If you learn how to mattress stitch your seams you can sew up with any yarn as it doesn't show.
