I am having trouble with this pattern. It says start here on the patt which is the pattern panel. So i did that, then did the back. Then got to the fron and it does not make sense at all. Are you supposed to incorporate the panel or what ? If then you read the actual instructions for the front it only goes to row 5 of the patt on the panel, then it says to follow ** from the back instructions, so this does not include the patt panel in it.
Can someone help Also had to go and buy more wool and above pointed out the yarn stated was wrong too.

Hi Debbie,

The first bit of the pattern is just telling you what the panel is that you'll work on the front and sleeves, so skip down to where it says how many stitches to cast on for the back. When you reach the front, that will explain where to place the panel, which is worked over 15 stitches.

I hope that helps, but let us know if you're still having trouble.

Best wishes,

Hi, I`m having a bit of trouble with this pattern - Can anyone help?!!

I have tried to start the pattern panel 4 times now, and keep having the same problem. By the time I get to row 3 of the panel, I have one to many stitches. This means that I can`t complete row 5 properly!

Is this something to do with bringing the yarn forward? Am I supposed to decrease by knitting 2 together immediately after? Hope someone can help!

Thanks, Kate.

Hi Katie,

In row 3, you'll create two new stitches with the two yarn forwards, but then you'll also decrease two stitches with the k2tog and skpo, so it should mean you end up with the same number of stitches you started out with.

This video shows you how to work a yarn forward to create a new stitch:

I hope that helps, but let us know if we can clarify anything else for you. We'd love to see a photo of the jumper when you've finished!

Best wishes,

I've tried this so many times and it seems that the front has about ten more rows then the back! Is this correct or am I reading the pattern incorrect?
