Hi i am new to site i do a bit knitting,but always give up when picking up stitches and sewing up cant seem to get the hang of it.I am currently doing baby clothes for nephews baby due in september,also doing a baby car seat blanket.How is everyone tonite.

Welcome on board! Sewing up and picking up stitches are my least favourite things too, but usually you just have to get on with it. From that point of view, a baby blanket is ideal, so long as you chose a pattern that doesn't need you to pick up hundreds of stitches around the edge! I'm doing one at the moment that has a garter stitch border knitted in with the rest of the pattern, so I have no picking up to do, and, apart from sewing in the ends of yarn, no sewing either. Bliss!
