I have got the issue of knit today with the Educational cat in it, it is the issue 72 May 2012 i have also nearly finnshed the cat i am waiting to find out the pattern correction for the shoes. I have knitted the Educational cat using double knit wool instead of SIRDAR TINY TOTS DK i had to use size 3mm (11)knitting needles for the mask, as when i did the mask using 4mm (8) needles it turned out to be too big to fit on the front of the head.

I have finished the Educational toy pattern that is in issue 72 May 2012 Knit-today .
The pattern for the shoes is as follows:- SHOES (make two)
Using 4mm needles and Denim, CAST ON 20sts, p one row NEXT row: k1, increase in each stitch to the last stitch, k1, 38sts.
Work 14 rows garter stitch.
SHAPE FOOT
NEXT row k5 (k2tog 14 times), k5
NEXT row knit
NEXT row k7 cast off 10sts k7
NEXT row Working on last set of 7sts, knit three rows cast off.
Rejoin the yarn to the remaining 7sts, knit three row cast off. Work the other shoe to match. sew the sole and back seam of the shoes. Take the cord and cut into two lengths. Thread through each side of the shoes and then tie in a bow. So that means do not, do the row k7,cast off 10sts k7.
I do hope that this is a help.
