My stocking stitch rows do not look even – one row always seems to be looser than the other. How can I stop this?

Many of us tend to do purl stitches more loosely than we do knit stitches, and this will show up on stocking stitch more than just about anywhere else. Practice adjusting your tension for the purl rows. Taking the yarn over the middle or little finger of your right hand will often give your knitting the extra pull that’s needed.
