Stop loose stitches

My stitches are very loose where I’ve changed colour, how do I stop these from coming undone?

It’s important not to tie the two ends into a knot – this will make your work look bulky and the knots always tend to come undone, so you’ll end up with holes all over your work. Twist the yarns around each other to keep them in place while working on your crochet. The stitches will hold themselves together once you have continued your work for two or three stitches along. When you have finished your square or your piece, thread the tails with a wool sewing needle and weave the ends in thoroughly at the back of the work, following the line of the stitch and the colours.
