A truly brilliant resource for new knitters, this book is also a very handy technique reference guide for those with a bit more experience. The step-by-step guides break down even the trickiest skills into manageable chunks to make them seem easy, enabling knitters of all abilities to create 16 fantastic projects. Start off slow, with a simple scarf and baby booties, before moving up to a cardigan, cabled bag and mittens, with helpful pictures and hints along the way to check you’re doing it right. There are also practical guides to mending mistakes, and answers to typical beginner questions. But best of all, there’s plenty of encouragement throughout to maintain your enthusiasm and get better and better with practice.

I really like this book! I was bought this book for Christmas 2009 because I wanted to learn to knit. Between it and some distance learning from my Mum I have come along really well, knitting everything from hats and baby booties to toys. I've just finished knitting a mobius scarf!
