Socks a la Carte by Jonelle Raffino, Katherine Cade and the SWTC staff
This has to be one of the most innovative knitting books we’ve seen for a while, and an essential purchase for anyone who loves making socks or wants to learn how. The techniques and supplies needed for knitting socks are covered in the first chapter, including an explanation of sock structure and tips on how to make socks that will fit your feet. An extensive pattern library follows, divided into sections for cuffs, bodies and feet, with various designs to suit all tastes. But, the best part about this book is the spiral-bound, split-page section at the end – all of the cuff, body and feet patterns from the pattern library are pictured on separate pieces of paper, allowing you to mix and match them to create your very own unique sock design! We had loads of fun designing my dream feet treats, and we're sure that you will, too.
